Back Border Roses

The Fragrant Garden Roses in this section are the tallest of the bush roses, producing wonderful flowering dispays of scented roses on tall and sturdy stems in repeating flushes from June to late autumn. These back border roses have growing heights between 120cm and 180cm, giving a satisfying background wall of colour and wafting scent at the back of the garden allowing for further planting of other roses and shrubs, bulbs and bedding plants in front.

These are statement roses, tall and proud, and will also work really well in containers, using a large and heavy pot or half barrel and a John Innes No. 3 Compost, they would look great either side of a door, on paved or gravel areas or running alongside a walled area.

Dead head for repeat flowers, pruning the tall stems well down after flowering to promote further large flushes of bloom on strong stems.
