Roses for Shaded Areas

Roses need a good level of light to perform well and flower. However, there are a good number of Climbing and Rambling roses and some Shrub roses which will perform well in positions where they get at least half a day's sunshine or, the levels of light are good and not heavily shaded or on a north facing wall and fence. The Varieties listed in this section are ideal to grow in the above situations. We would recommend using Rootgrow when planting and Empathy Afterplant Rose Food for the best results and to give the roses the best possible conditions for flowering and strong growth and where possible overhanging trees and plants which reduce light levels further should be regularly pruned and maintained also.
