Weeping Standard Roses
Weeping Standard Roses, also known as Tree Roses blooming on a tall single stem, are as impressive as a Standard Rose can be!
Producing huge majestic heads, often 6ft wide, covered all over with small flowers, often into the 1000's and creating height and a strong focal point to your garden with stunning eye and nose level displays of colour and wonderful aromas. The varieties we use for our Fragrant Weeping Standards are either Rambling or Ground-Cover rose varieties, producing long arching and trailing stems and cascading displays of colour often going to the ground below.
They should be very much treated as Specimen rose plants and given pride of place in your garden, for best effect try planting in the middle of a central bed, mid to back of a sunny border or in a very large and heavy container such as a half barrel and using a John Innes No 3 compost.
PLEASE NOTE: Standard Roses or Tree Roses can only be supplied by mail-order as bare-root roses, and dispatched between November to March to mainland UK, Highlands and Islands (separate delivery charges apply to Highlands and Islands, Sorry we cannot send Standard Roses or Weeping Roses to E.U or rest of world).
You can also purchase Standard roses by collection in pots throughout the year from our Nursery by arrangement or at our Garden Shows. We recommend you contact us before visiting to avoid any possible dissapointment, as many of our Standard Roses sell out as bareroot plants and are not always available in pots.
We also highly recommend that you also order our very strong, top quality, hand made, pressure treated stakes and ties when ordering Standard Roses to help prevent wind damage or loss, as the heads can become very heavy in summer months with blooms, foliage and added rainfall, see our Sundries section or Rose Essential Items for details.
Allow plenty of room when planting Weeping Fragrant Standard roses, around 180cm apart, flowering heights of our Weeping Standard roses typically average 180cm approximately
