Bred by David Austin Roses, this is a true shrub rose with a fast spreading, ambling habit, producing mid sized, shallow cupped rosette blooms in attractive, light carmine red and deep pink blends.
It produces a fantastic old rose fragrance of lemon zest, and you can plant it within mid-borders or in tubs and pots. Thomas a Becket has a strong and healthy habit and repeat flowers throughout the season.
Bathsheba would make a good contrasting rose.
