Bareroot Roses – Dispatched November to March
Roses dispatched as bare root roses are freshly lifted from our field when our new season begins (weather permitting) in November through to March, this is when the roses are in their dormant state of growth over the winter period. This is the way that roses have been dispatched for many years and is also our cheapest option. We are able to dispatch bush and standard roses using this method. Rose roots are soaked in water and then wrapped in cling film before sending.
Container Roses – Dispatched Throughout The Year
Container or potted roses are planted into containers with our own formulated loam based compost – ideal for roses, which contains all the nutrients your rose will need to see it through it’s first year. We can supply container roses all year round via mail order, garden shows we attend and collection from our nursery. We are able to supply bush roses in this way, in the following types, Fragrant Floribunda Roses, Fragrant Patio Roses, Fragrant Hybrid Tea Roses, Fragrant Climbing Roses, Fragrant Rambling Roses and David Austin Roses, unfortunately we are currently unable to send standard roses in this way, however they can be collected from the nursery or a garden show, or sent as a bareroot plant.
Potted Roses are ideal for giving to people as gifts for gardeners as it provides them with plenty of time to decide on the planting position they would like to put their new rose plant, and prepare the ground, or get the perfect pot and compost ready for its final pride of place.

Located close by to our nursery in Holbeach, South Lincolnshire just half a mile of the A17 roundabout at Holbeach, our rose field is the best place to see our roses in the natural planting situation. The field is available to walk around unaccompanied from June to September by appointment. Make note of the varieties you like, and to see lots of blooms and find the rose plant you find most fragrant.
We recommend that you wear sensible shoes and clothing to protect yourselves from our roses as rows are planted close together to walk through and are very thorny!
The best times to see lots of flower in the rose field is Mid June to end of July and September.
