Types of Roses

Thornless Roses & Near Thornless

Thornless roses and our near thornless roses are perfect for planting near busy and narrow areas where you might have to brush and squeeze up against your garden plants. Also well suited for those with certain plant allergies or worried about young children and pets.

The rose varieties in this section are not guaranteed to be completely thornless, but from our experience of handling them on the nursery, we know they have little or no thorns on most of the stems and undersides of leaves. Larger thorns tend to develope on lower older growth after a year or so's growth whilst new and younger upper stems in this range tend to be nearly or completely thornless
