This is a true shrub rose with a fast spreading, ambling habit.
It produces mid sized, shallow cupped rosette blooms in attractive, light carmine red and deep pink blends.
It has a fantastic old rose fragrance of lemon zest, and you can plant it in mid-borders or in containers.
Thomas a Becket has a strong and healthy habit and repeat flowers throughout the season.
Dame Judi Dench would make a good contrasting rose.
